Jersey Pearl returns with a victory in the $200,000 Cheryl White Memorial S.

Bee Jersey got his latest stakes winner Monday in the Cheryl White Memorial S. at Mahoning Valley when Jersey Pearl surged past White Chocolate in deep stretch to win the six-furlong contest by one length.

Jersey Pearl is one of seven stakes horses this year for her sire. In her most recent outing before Monday, she was second in the Prioress S. (G2) in early September at Saratoga. Her lifetime record now stands at 4-2-1 in nine starts, with earnings of $395,025.

Always well-placed from the outset, Jersey Pearl stalked in third before coming three wide around the turn to vie for the lead at the top of the stretch. After chasing White Chocolate most of the way down the lane, she hit her best stride in the final sixteenth to get to the wire in 1:11.41 on a fast track.

Jersey Pearl, 3, is owned by Silverton Hill LLC and was bred by Charles Fipke. Jersey Pearl is out of Jersey’s Soul, who is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Jersey Town out of the Grade 1 winner Jersey Girl.
